What is Transcendental Meditation? (IM 595)

Transcendental is something that is related to spiritual or non-physical stuffs. It is something that is characterized in the level of soul not in the level of physical or material world.Meditation is the practice for being present and clear all thoughts.

Transcendental Meditation is not a philosophy. Let’s go back to the history. The Transcendental Meditation technique or TM is a form of silent mantra meditation, developed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. There’s nothing mystical, religious or magical about this process, however; the wisdom of our mind simply starts to manifest itself when given a chance.

A Transcendental meditation is a simple, natural and effortless technique that allows active thinking mind to settle down and experience quieter level of thoughts or transcendental level or of thoughts within every human being. It is done by repeating some mantras numerous time and being present in the present moment and avoiding distracting thoughts.
