Semiotics: A face-mask (IM 547)

Semiotics is the study of sign process, which is any form of activity, conduct, or any process that involves signs, including the production of meaning. It  is an investigation into how meaning is created and how meaning is communicated.

Moreover, it interprets the relationship between sign, object and meaning. Lets take current example, that is, the face masks. It’s not just the face mask to protect ourselves from getting coronavirus. Face-mask (object) is the “sign” to create a ripple among the people to make them aware of the pandemic and to prevent other people from infection (meaning).

Any sign is incomplete without and object and its meaning…
